Christmas - thank you!
As we look back on the Advent and early Christmas season at St Peter’s, there is so much to be thankful for, and so much to be excited about seeing the fruition of.
Some highlights include:
For the first time, we began December with a day of prayer and fasting, committing the services and events ahead to God, and asking him to be powerfully at work through them.
Seeing increased numbers of people, and lots of new faces, throughout all our services and events. One nearby resident called after receiving a flyer through his door, excitedly ticking all the services they were going to come to, and wanting to find out more about the church, which they didn’t know was here until that day!
Fun and laughter at our Spectacular; generosity through giving; trying new things with Blue Christmas; hosting our schools; end of year parties for our groups; an Advent course to take in; and lots of time to worship!
Making all of those things happen, and go so well, took a whole lot of people doing a whole lot of things. I’m grateful for you all, whether you decorated or hoovered up, welcomed or put the kettle on, cleared the snow or played the piano. Thank you!
And please do pray that the message that was said and sung and shown would continue to bless those who came. God will build his church!
