Following Jesus is the best thing you can ever do, living with him in your life now, and knowing that you’ll be united with him after death as well. A prayer of commitment

Here’s a prayer you could use to say yes to following Jesus. The exact words aren’t as important as your heart, so feel free to make this your own.

Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for loving me before I ever loved you.

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life.

Please forgive me. I now turn from everything that I know is wrong.

Thank you that you died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free.

Thank you that you offer me total forgiveness and the gift of your Spirit. I choose to put my faith in you, and receive that gift.

Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever. Amen.
